From left to right in order: T-72 -> T-80 -> T-90

The T-90 is a third generation Russian main battle tank. UralVagonZavod is the main producer of the T-90 and all of it’s respective counterparts (weaponry, protection, armor). The tank is named “Vladimir” in honor for the creator of the design Vladimir Potkin. It weighs around 46 tonnes and was created mostly to show improvements in technological warfare. It uses a 125mm 2A46 smoothbore main gun, it also includes the 1A45T fire-control system, an upgraded engine from previous designs (T-72 and T-80 respectively), and a gunner’s thermal sight. The T-90 was inspired by both the designs of the T-72 and T-80 and made them into one design. The innovative features of the T-72 such as the 3 man crew and autoloading gun were kept while adding more armor than the T-80 and increasing turret rotation speed. The T-90 does not relate very well to the Leopard 2a3 or the M1 Abrams. It has an autoloader unlike the two tanks and also has heat reactive armor. But unlike the two tanks the T-90 does not have a good reversal speed or a faster turret traverse speed.
