The Leopard 2a4 is a 3rd generation main battle tank (MBT). It was designed to replace the latest tank of the Leopard series, the Leopard 2a3. It was designed and manufactured by the company, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, and was the successor of the main battle tank Leopard 1. Like the Abrams, it has balanced protection against all types of ammunition and has smoke grenades to create a smoke screen infront of the vehicle. It also has self-entrenching equipment so that the tank can create ramparts and trenches into soft ground. Its armaments consists off a laser rangefinder, a night vision device, a two-plane stabilizer, a Rh120 L/44 120mm cannon, and a 7.62mm MG3A1 machine gun. Also like the Abrams, it uses HEATFS and APFSDS rounds. Here are some notable weaknesses, the armor of the hull is quite mediocre against kinetic rounds. The gunner's optics are a weak spot, enemies who know how to aim can cripple your gun and kill your crew, the gun mantlet is relatively weak while being quite prominent, penetration can disable the gun or knock turret crew out, the turret cheeks can be penetrated by most APFSDS rounds when hit at the right angle,Secondary ammunition storage is extremely vulnerable, and the blowout panels are unreliable and have a low capacity,
